Common Support Problem: ResultFlow is not posting to Facebook 

My posts are showing in the posted to Facebook Column, but they are not on my Facebook page. 

Alternate support queries:

  • Why are posts from one Funnel going to Facebook, but not the other? 
  • My posts stopped showing on Facebook, what's wrong?
  • Rich summary is not posting to click campaign on Facebook
  • Link quote did not post to Facebook



Typically when this happens, it means that to Facebook account has been disconnected from ResultFlow. This can be caused by a Facebook password or Ad Account billing problem. 

To reconnect you'll need to:

  • Reauthorize
  • Reconnect the Venue
  • Clear any Stuck Posts
  • Test Posting


Reconnecting Facebook


After choosing the correct persona, click Credentials from any menu.


Reauthorize Facebook Promoted Posts


Click Reauthorize and follow the prompts for Promoted Posts.

Unless you have changed your persona to use Organic only, you do not need to click Organic Posts.


Follow the Prompts


Click Continue as... 

If you do not get this pop-up, please check for your browser for Pop-Up blockers and allow ResultFlow and Facebook to show pop-ups.


Verify Page and Ad Account

Click on "Setup"


Select your page and ad account, if not already selected.

No changes are needed for Execute Automated Setup or Campaign name prefix.

Click on "OK"


Reconnect Venues


Click on Venues


Reconnect your Facebook Top of Funnel Venue


Mouse over Facebook Top of Funnel and click Edit over to the right.


Verify Venue Connections


Confirm

  • Facebook Page
  • Facebook Ad Account
  • Facebook Campaign - For Top of Funnel this should be your -engagement Campaign
  • Facebook Adset - If they are unchecked, you'll need to check both tofu1-engagement and tofu2-engagement 

Click on "Save"  

(If Save is greyed out, you can uncheck, then immediately recheck Publish to activate it. 


Reconnect your Facebook Middle of Funnel Venue


Mouse over Facebook Middle of Funnel and click Edit over to the right.


Verify Venue Connections


Confirm

  • Facebook Page
  • Facebook Ad Account
  • Facebook Campaign - For Top of Funnel this should be your -clicks Campaign
  • Facebook Adset - If they are unchecked, you'll need to check both tofu2-clicks and mofu-clicks

Click on "Save"  

(If Save is greyed out, you can uncheck, then immediately recheck Publish to activate it. 


If you have set up your Bottom of Funnel campaign, you'll need to repeat these steps for that campaign, too.


Clear any Stuck Posts & Test Posting

If your Facebook posting has stopped, it is likely that you have items that are stuck in the Script Quote process folders:

  • Content> A - Create and Promote Link Quote> 5 - Script Quote to Facebook Top of Funnel
  • Content> D - Promote to Middle of Funnel> 3 - Script to Facebook Middle of Funnel

You can view these folders in your app by clicking on Content, and then opening the folders from the left menu. If you have items in the folders, you'll want to follow these instructions: 

  • Step 1 - Go to "My Dashboard" (the homepage you see in Result Flow before entering into a persona), click on "My tasks" if you have any that say"Script Error" you can click "Done".
  • Step 2 - Look in the above script folders for these same items and make sure they do not have the workflow icon next to them.
  • Step 3 - Now, move all of the script items back to the schedulers they cam from, EXCEPT for one of the script items to use for testing. 
    • The items in Content> A - Create and Promote Link Quote> 5 - Script Quote to Facebook Top of Funnel would be
      moved to folder Content> A - Create and Promote Link Quote> 3 - Top of Funnel Queue
    • The items in Content> D - Promote to Middle of Funnel > 3 - Script to Facebook Middle of Funnel would be
      moved to folder Content> D - Promote to Middle of Funnel
  • Step 4 - Once you moved all but ONE of the script items, click "Run Workflows" to have Result Flow re-run that item's script.  
  • Step 5 - Refresh the folder.
  • Step 6 - If the script item is gone, then the process worked. If the script item is still there and you have a new error in the dashboard, then please email us at support@resultflow.com so we can look at your app.
