How do I create a custom audience from my email list?

What is the Bottom of Funnel ( BOFU )

Did you know that you can use your email list on Facebook to show your ResultFlow posts and other promotions to people who have opted in on your website? Facebook has strict rules, these folks need to be truly opted-in, and not scraped or purchased.

First, you'll need to upload your list to Facebook. Over time you will need to manage the list by removing opt-outs and uploading new opt-ins. But for now, you simply need to create a custom audience.  Facebook has great instructions right here: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/170456843145568  ONE TIP... include the word BOFU at the beginning of your audience name to help you in the next steps.

Exclude BOFU from existing Ad Sets and create new Ad Set for the BOFU Audience

Verify BOFU Audience Created

If you're not already on the Audiences page, from the Hamburger Menu in the upper left, choose 'Audiences'

You should see your newly created audience at the top if not, sort by Date Created until the most recent date is on top.

Go to Ads Manager

From the Hamburger Menu in the upper left, click on "Ads Manager"

Select ResultFlow Campaigns

1) Select BOTH the click and the engagement campaigns

2) Click on 'Ad Sets for 2 Campaigns'

Select All Ad Sets

You should see your 4 ad sets that were created during Execute Automated Setup. Select all 4 Ad Sets.

By choosing all, we can exclude the BOFU Audience from the existing Ad Sets.

EXCLUDE the BOFU Audience.

Scroll down until you see the EXCLUDE section. Then type BOFU to see your newly created BOFU audience.

Select your 'BOFU Audience'

Again, this should be in the EXCLUDE section.

Update Bottom of Funnel Feed

Click on "Feeds"

Mouse over Auto-Promote to Bottom of Funnel, click 'Edit'

Add Feed URL

To promote items from your blog to the bottom of funnel you will need to tag items on your site that you'd like to share.

These items could be classics, promotions, popular features, any items that you'd like to promote to your website pixel audience (retargeting) and your list audience you've just set up.

You can select those items on your site with their own tag. We recommend limiting them to no more than 10 at a time. With the current schedule each one would be shared once, and only once per week.

Add the tag to the item(s) then add the tag feed url to the Feed List.

The format would be similar to

https://blog.yourcoolsite.com/tag/tagname/feed
