While Shopify does include a blog option, they do not offer the ability to post via XML-RPC which ResultFlow uses to automate adding new posts to the blog. While we do support several different blogging platforms, typically the easiest to use is WordPress, and in all cases we need to have an ability to remotely post to the blog. Shopify has not provided that, so all posting would have to be manual. That’s clearly not what ResultFlow is really about.

 Need Help With Wordpress Hosting?

Where can I get WordPress hosting?

You would need separate hosting for a WordPress blog — we recommend Siteground. Their hosting works well with ResultFlow and we’ve been happy with the speed and reliability of the servers. The Startup Plan is great if you only want 1 domain and you can always upgrade to bigger plan. Hosting: https://www.siteground.com/go/superblog

Setting Up Your Subdomain

If your domain is https://myshoppingsite.com you can easily setup a blog on Siteground as https://blog.myshoppingsite.com.

To get started at Siteground – you’d simply put in your root domain name for your account. Don’t worry you won’t be changing any DNS records for the root, and this makes getting the rest of the setup completed.

Once your account is setup you’ll want to add your subdomain. This video shows you exactly how to do that with SiteGround https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZdYeLW4o3wE

Go into your CPanel

Then click on Subdomains

Enter your subdomain name, like blog, then click create.

Pointing the Subdomain at your New Server / Host

Next you’ll need to point that subdomain at the Siteground (or your host’s) servers by logging into you Domain Manager or Domain Registrar and creating an A Record for the subdomain to your IP. https://www.siteground.com/kb/point-website-domain-siteground/

Once that is complete it can take a few hours before your blank website is available at Siteground.

Installing WordPress

From the CPanel you’ll find an AutoInstaller for WordPress. Simply click WordPress and follow the screen. Be sure to select the correct subdomain.
