A Rich Summary is created as a post for your blog, then shared on Social Media. After publishing to your blog, they will then be promoted through the "Auto-Promote Post to Middle of Funnel" feed folder. From there the post will share on Social Media and on Facebook promoted to your Facebook Page and Pixel Audiences.

It is composed of a brief Abstract, 3 Key Points, and a Quote.  The Quote is used as the introductory text on Facebook.

Tips:

  • Stories chosen for Rich Summaries should be of sufficient length to create a 75-word abstract summary.
  • An image isn't required upon selection. Through the blog setup, you should establish an  Automate Featured Images process with the Quick Featured Images Pro plugin.
  • The title of your article should be compliant with Facebook Ad Guidelines

Step-by-step guide

  1. Stories should not require a user to click-through, subscription, or log in to be seen.  Sites like the New York Times & WSJ are not a good fit as they allow only a few free stories, then require a subscription to view more.
  2. Select items from your 3rd Pary Content to Curate or other Story Source Feed Folder
  3. From the Selected Items Menu choose Move to
  4. Move items to folder B - Create and Post Rich Summary Blog Post
  5. Click Dashboard, then choose your Rich Summary Process to see the items in the Work in Progress Column

It typically takes 3-5 Business Days to complete a Rich Summary. After creation, each one is reviewed by a member of our team. for quality standards.

If you find that you have a Rich Summary  item "stuck" in the Work in Process column longer than 2 weeks, it is likely there is an error with the item. You can follow the steps in this post to restart stuck stories.
